GOALS: In addition to instructing students in Songahm Taekwondo, I hope to prepare them for the challenges they will face as adults; to teach them to believe in themselves and to never, ever give up in the pursuit of their goals and dreams on the path to their first, best destiny. Personally, I seek to improve my traditional and free-style forms with each practice session - always striving to attain absolute perfection.
EDUCATION: Graduated with High Honors from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. CPR certified.
HOBBIES: Metaphysics, parapsychology, and energy medicine.
ACHEIVEMENTS: Began training with Carrollton ATA at the age of 50. During the last three years, I have earned six Texas State Championships and over one hundred medals and trophies. At the ATA World Championships in June 2009, placed second in Extreme Weapons and third in Traditional Weapons for the 2008-2009 tournament season. Currently, I’m ranked in the Top Ten for all events, including two first-place rankings for Extreme and Creative Weapons.
ADVICE: Avoid comparing yourself with other students. Determine your own goals and revel in each personal triumph – each pound lost, each inch of flexibility gained, each new form mastered are all milestones and reasons to celebrate.
